Feisty Flavors Catering is a catering business run by Chef Cindy, who describes her cuisine as Carib-Fusion, a funky combination of her Caribbean heritage and her experience with other cultures. She stays loyal to the colorful flavors of her West Indian background, while marrying them with anything from Italian to Asian cuisines. She had even found her way onto Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen, and was featured in the NY Daily News and other publications. Chef Cindy is very passionate about showing that simple food can be elegant, and believes that the traditional Caribbean fare can absolutely still be enjoyed, even with a few healthy tweaks. She has a knack for making something out of nothing and giving her audience the unexpected!
ABOUT THE ENTREPRENEUR
Chef Cindy is from Brooklyn, by way of Trinidad and Tobago. Her mom gave her a cookbook at the age of 9 to keep her out of trouble… and the rest, as they say, is history! Self-taught, she has been a chef and caterer for almost 15 years. She started Feisty Flavors Catering in 2011, after losing her job. Her business has grown over the last few years, and she approached Start Small Think Big for assistance formalizing her business so she will have the infrastructure for significant expansion.
