We will be joined by our expert entrepreneurs Saphira Rasti and Shelly Flash!
Meet our Experts:
- Saphira Rasti co-founded Nowhere Bakery, a brand dedicated to crafting and shipping healthy, plant-based baked goods nationwide. Inspired by her own journey with gut health issues and food intolerances, Saphira developed allergen-friendly desserts that cater to both taste and dietary needs. Saphira gained national attention after securing a six-figure investment on Shark Tank. Founded in March 2020, Nowhere Bakery's mission is to produce and distribute the best allergen-friendly desserts on the market, appealing to both health-conscious consumers and those with no dietary restrictions. Today, Saphira oversees a full kitchen team, driven by a mission to revolutionize the dessert category and provide delicious, guilt-free treats for everyone.
- Chef **Shelly Flash'**s culinary journey, rooted in watching her grandmother cook, has blossomed into a rich career spanning over a decade in the food industry. From humble beginnings as a hostess in Brooklyn to prestigious roles at the James Beard House, her unwavering work ethic has left an indelible mark on the culinary world. In 2018, Chef Shelly and her daughter Jataun founded 2 Girls & a Cookshop, a dynamic food business blending traditional Jamaican cuisine with diasporic street fare. Their award-winning dishes, like the Jerk Chicken Dinner Taco, have gained acclaim on platforms such as MasterChef and The Great Food Truck Race. Beyond their Tuesday pop-up at Flatbush Central in Brooklyn, 2 Girls extends their expertise nationwide, catering high-profile events and participating in festivals.
