Provides up to $50,000 loan to arts organizations in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano and Sonoma Counties. Loans can be used to cover any need identified by the borrower due to the impacts of the COVID-19 public health orders.
Must be a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization or be fiscally sponsored by one;
Arts and culture organizations that maintain an active teaching, presenting, exhibiting, producing, or archiving practice or that provide vital services to artists and cultural organizations;
Art Disciplines: Arts education, dance, folk and traditional arts, literary arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, museums, music, musical theater, opera, presenting arts, theater and visual arts. Loan funds can also be used to support a variety of projects, such as festivals, parades, and film or video projects;
Eligible Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano and Sonoma;
Budget Size: The Emergency COVID-19 loan product is intended to serve small to midsized arts and culture organizations with budgets up to $2M. Larger budget organizations should contact Margaret (Margaret at padmaconsulting.com) in advance of applying and will be considered if they serve as a significant presenting partner to smaller budget organizations;
Arts and culture organizations that demonstrate a track record for financial record keeping and management, and general financial health, but whose cash flow and revenues are severely impacted by Shelter in Place public health mandates related to COVID-19;
Returning Borrowers: Must have managed past loans responsibly and made timely repayments;
Frequency: In response to extraordinary pressures placed on nonprofits during COVID-19 health and safety orders, existing borrowers may apply for one additional loan, however the total borrowed may not exceed $50,000.
