At the DC PTAC, businesses get help with strategies to pursue state, local and federal government contracts.

Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED)

ELEVATE, which stands for Executive Leadership Education Venture Advancing Talented Entrepreneurs, aims to provide best-in-class training to minority small businesses located in DC to acquire new skills that will allow them to more effectively and efficiently manage their business’ products and services and increase revenue and employment. Elevate Curriculum is a collaboration between CNHED and the GW School of Business.

Maryland Business Express

Maryland Business Express site is designed to help guide aspiring and existing business owners through the process of planning, starting, maintaining, and growing their business. It offers expansive guides on different levels of business development, such as how to access funding, how to choose a location for your business, licenses and permits, government contracting, how to start a nonprofit, filing taxes online, etc.

Montgomery County Business Center

Montgomery County Business Center offers industry-specific starter kits for food businesses, restaurants, childcare, retail, agricultural, etc. valuable for new and existing business owners. Their small business resources page provides access to both internal and external resources from funding opportunities, technical assistance, business training, etc.
