The Jersey City Fund offers $25,000 - $250,000 SBA Community Advantage Loans for start-ups, early stage and mature businesses. The loan may be used for a range of purposes including purchasing new equipment, increasing inventory, hiring new workers, refinancing and more.
STEP grant from the SBA runs from October 2019 through September 2020. Through this grant, Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) has created an Export General Assistance Fund (GAF) to increase the number of eligible small businesses (ESBCs) that export, increase the value of exports by ESBCs and increase the number of ESBCs exploring significant new trade opportunities

seCTer's small business lending program can help small to medium-sized businesses expand, upgrade machinery and equipment, and/or relocate to our region. This program helps businesses grow, including businesses that are part of our thriving arts and cultural ecosystem. seCTer provides loans to businesses that are not quite bank ready, providing them the capital to grow and succeed.
Creditworthy small, minority-owned or women-owned businesses in New Jersey that have been in operation for at least one full year and may not have the ability to get bank financing may be eligible for assistance under the Small Business Fund (up to $500,000).
In partnership with two dozen banks throughout New Jersey, the Premier Lender Program offers up to a $2 million loan participation or $1.5 million loan guarantee for fixed assets, and up to a $750,000 loan participation or $1.5 million guarantee for term working capital. Line of credit guarantees of up to $750,000 are also available.
