Consumers prepare the oat-based product themselves, so they know exactly what goes in it. Desiree's goal is to add a line of plant-based brownies, get into supermarkets and other health retail spaces, and increase brand awareness.
Natalia is the owner of an e-commerce business selling a versatile bottled salsa with a spicy and crunchy flavor. Natalia began making her salsas during the pandemic as a way to reconnect with her Mexican culture. Natalia intentionally bottles her salsa with spices, flavors, and other ingredients that will make folks feel like they are eating in a Mexican home.
After immigrating to the US, Jake had some difficulty breaking into his previous career in IT. In addition, he always wanted to run a business with his family and he felt that he could bring more varied and traditional Korean dishes to the San Francisco scene. His business aims to go past Bibimbap and Korean BBQ and represent the full variety of Korean cuisine.
Sophie grew up in Chico, California, where her favorite activity was visiting the farmer’s market with her mom, who instilled in her a love of beautiful produce and creative cooking. Sophie’s love for cooking led her to become a private chef, specializing in intimate sit-down dinner parties. Her most requested items were her gathering boards, which are large wooden boards filled with the highest quality American salumi alongside Bay Area jams, honey, nuts, and fruits. After seeing how popular her gathering boards had become, she decided to begin selling her boards full-time.
Phyllicia is a chef and owner of a catering company based in Connecticut. She offers personal chef and catering services to individual events, holidays, weddings, or corporate events/festivals. She offers a wide menu of Jamaican and Carribbean fusion cuisine, and is hoping to start producing pre-packaged seasonings. Phyllicia would like to operate in a commercial kitchen in order to increase capacity for sales and earn more revenue.
Yu Ling, known by their friends and family as Sway, is committed to making the world a healthier and more sustainable place. Sway spent much of their 20’s as a bartender and felt that their health had begun declining. After improving their own health, Sway dedicated themself to helping others achieve their fitness and nutrition goals. They founded a nutrition and fitness company that now offers delicious gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods as well as personal chef services and yoga lessons.
Lisa left her nonprofit job right before the pandemic to focus on her baking business and hone her baking skills. She was ultimately able to get a job at a coffee shop and began making all of their in house pastries, as well as selling to family and friends. Her network has since expanded, and she offers a curated monthly menu incorporating seasonal ingredients, selling baked goods wholesale to local coffee shops and directly to individuals as well.

Firdaws (Kemi) is the owner of a West African-inspired hibiscus beverage company based in NYC. Kemi handles the client relationships while her business partner in Louisiana assist with the bottling and manufacturing process. In addition to e-commerce, they have wholesale opportunities with different supermarkets and specialty stores. Kemi brings intentionality every step of the way, from packaging, bottling, manufacturing, and marketing. Kemi would like to improve brand awareness to increase wholesale opportunities and e-commerce sales.
