Our federally certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) offers micro-loans of $500 - $10,000 to small and medium size businesses.
Provides capital and technical assistance to ensure successful recovery for small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with up to $15,000.
Provides access to capital to existing small businesses with low-to-moderate incomes to build their credit with up to $5,000 in financing.
Provides supportive capital ranging from $10,000 to $150,000 to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs).
Provides various loan programs based on needs
The UMEZ Hybrid Microloan Program will offer loans, a portion of which may be converted into a grant, of up to $50,000 for eligible small businesses and nonprofits. The program is capitalized at $2 million and loans will be disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted, or until December 31, 2022.
Provides loans ranging from $25,000 to $125,000 to women entreprenuers
Through Community Power, which brings together Bronx-ites and leaders from community-based organizations to strategically deploy resources into areas of critical need, including Food Security, Housing Stability, Health, Education & Technology & Connectivity, Equity & Justice, Economic Opportunity & Relief, Small Business Strength, and Nonprofit Capacity. We will deploy resources and technical assistance to activate community power.
