Not only does this help our homes and lives to run better, it also supports our children in the development of important social, emotional and life skills.

Samira is a talented artist who loves working with clay and concrete. She makes and sells high quality bust sculptures and pottery using unique colors. She has received a lot of positive feedback from customers, and hopes to expand her offering to larger pieces.

Growing Minds Together

Rosmery moved to the US from El Salvador in 2017, and worked at her aunt's daycare. She ended up enjoying the work, and decided to open up her own bilingual daycare. She works with children ages 0-3, and her daycare provides the opportunity for children to learn Spanish outside of the home. She hopes to move into a commercial location and to continue to grow her childcare business. (Requires Spanish Speaking Volunteer)

Since Cheryl was young, and during her time serving in the military and working for the city, she has been involved in large-scale event planning. She decided to start her event-planning business because she has the unique ability to produce events of all sizes with ornate decorations.

Faith sells new, pre-loved, vintage, and refashioned goods. An avid thrift shopper since the age of 12, Faith has always been committed to turning trash into treasure. As a former photographer and fashion blogger, she brings her own style and aesthetic to the items that she offers and carefully handpicks every piece. Faith also handpaints, dyes and stitches each refashioned piece to create one-of-a-kind slow fashion garments.

Yolanda is a designer with an architecture background who leverages her expertise as a consultant for Construction Developers, specifically those who build and develop projects in lower income and marginalized communities to improve housing and neighborhoods. In providing her design expertise to these developers, she is able to boost the value and interest that these real estate projects receive.

Stephanie's unique beauty company curates beauty experiences for cosmetics aficionados everywhere. From local workshops to international beauty tours, Stephanie constructs thoughtful and imaginative encounters at the intersection of fashion, personal care, traditional culture, and sustainability. She harnesses a formidable network of collaborators and influencers to continue crafting new journeys for clients to explore.

Debbin loves to feed people, so she decided to start catering. She makes soul food that everyone loves. She is working towards a food truck, private catering experiences, and even her own cookbook!

Island Spice Grill NYC LLC

Roxanne is a catering chef and owns a Jamaican and Caribbean-inspired food truck in the Bronx. She sells a wide variety of dishes targeted towards the NYC lunch rush and private/public events for catering + sales opportunities. She recently dissolved her business partnership, lost one of her food trucks in the process, and is hoping to pivot the business structure and refresh branding and digital marketing strategies in order to gain a new customer base.
