Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLANY)

VLA LEGAL FELLOWSHIPS
Legal Fellowships at VLA are available to recent law school graduates and deferred associates who can secure independent fellowship funding. VLA’s Legal Fellows interact daily with clients and gain hands-on experience analyzing, interpreting, and counseling members of New York’s arts community on legal issues pertaining to various areas of law, including intellectual property, contract, and non-profit and for-profit corporate matters.

We provide an alternative to traditional financial services that can help your business grow and thrive. Not only do we provide 1:1 support through business coaching and technical assistance, but we also make sure that your loan terms are specific to your business.

New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC)

The New York State SBDC offers free counseling to any New Yorker hoping to start or grow a small business. The SBDC also offers a host of programs designed for specific groups of entrepreneurs or focusing on particular business needs.

The EntreSkills™ team’s primary objective is to facilitate, sponsor, and develop tools, aids, and models of entrepreneurial instruction. The team has developed an online training course in entrepreneurship for New York high schools and colleges. There are also versions available for NY SBDC clients, including a version just for military veterans.
