1-on-1 Counseling. Counselors at the DCWBC support entrepreneurs at all stages of business journey. Their counselors will help you assess your business needs, whether it’s ideation, business plan writing, understanding financials, market research, or anything else! They will work with you one time or on an ongoing basis to help you start and grow your business. In addition, our counselors can direct you to the many other resources to support your venture; funding sources, registration and/or certification websites, local and regional organizations.

The Enterprising Women of Color District, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) Business Center (Center) fosters and supports a small business ecosystem for women of color in the National Capital Region. The Center offers a plethora of business services including financial capital, business advisory services, and networking support. EWOC offers direct funding fit for the entrepreneur’s individual needs & goals, from microloans to emergency funding and financing options. They provide free, individualized consulting services to help NEW and existing business owners develop and grow their business.

They offer grant opportunities for Black-owned businesses in Washington, D.C. Wards 7 and 8, 1:1 Business Consultations, Workshops & Events, Business Marketing, and Real Estate Support.

Dedicated to serving entrepreneurs of color through a holistic, multi-week program, our hands-on approach consists of interactive workshops, one-on-one consultations with world class experts, and individualized support. Our goal is to support the growth and long-term success of entrepreneurs of color in the Greater Washington, D.C. region, and surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia.

SCORE Mentoring. SCORE provides free remote mentoring for small business owners. Their Washington DC volunteers are experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives with a diverse set of industries and specialties who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help small business professionals start, develop, and grow businesses in Washington DC, Maryland (Prince Georges & Montgomery County) and Northern Virginia.
