Eddie makes a little piece of Haiti available to foodies and Haitian culture enthusiasts everywhere by selling Haitian treats and cookies online. After an annual trip home, she realized that the traditional treats she grew up on were not as readily available as they once were, and had been replaced by packaged cookies and candies. Her mission is to bring economic and professional growth to communities throughout Haiti by providing an online marketplace for makers based in Haiti to sell their products to larger markets like the US and Canada.

While backpacking around the US, Cat found themself in the California Redwoods where they were finally able to begin healing while living at the pace of nature. Their business was born out of the concept of healing with the earth. They create very specific pieces of art, jewelry, food, and body care that each have their own spiritual element. All of the products are sourced locally, and the business works to honor sustainability, healing, and vulnerability.

Angeline founded an annual food, arts and cultural festival in 2018 and has expanded her programming since. These events are curated to bring education to a multiracial and intergenerational audience. Tickets sales for these festivals and events are the business' primary source of revenue. Angeline is looking to develop additional profit streams and re-work their cost structure and improve ticket sales. They hope to eventually turn the organization into a Co-Op and give local community members more ownership in the festival and organizational process.

Ozemi Beauty

Ruben sells Palo Santo wooden sticks that when burned, release a rich, distinct scent and energetic properties that cleanse a space for meditation or spiritual ceremonies. He believes that true beauty comes from within and therefore designed a product that helps to cleanse and purify from the inside out. Ruben will be expanding his line to include candles, face makes and other wellness products, with all ingredients being ethically sourced.

NasLan, LLC

Nasra developed the formula for her dry oil many years ago and it is inspired by the climate in her home country of Dubai. The oil works in hair and on skin to moisturize, cleanse, and heal, and works as a beauty and health product. She uses the highest quality of ingredients, and it is a product that the entire family can use - men, women, and children.

Alexey is a lifelong creative with strong ties in the LGBTQIA+ community, which inspired him to create a media platform where creative people can collaborate and feature their work, reviews, and articles. Alexey is passionate about bringing together this community outside of traditional and highly exclusive creative networks, to enable artists to share high quality content and house their creative portfolios.

Growing Minds Together

Rosmery moved to the US from El Salvador in 2017, and worked at her aunt's daycare. She ended up enjoying the work, and decided to open up her own bilingual daycare. She works with children ages 0-3, and her daycare provides the opportunity for children to learn Spanish outside of the home. She hopes to move into a commercial location and to continue to grow her childcare business. (Requires Spanish Speaking Volunteer)

Yolanda is a designer with an architecture background who leverages her expertise as a consultant for Construction Developers, specifically those who build and develop projects in lower income and marginalized communities to improve housing and neighborhoods. In providing her design expertise to these developers, she is able to boost the value and interest that these real estate projects receive.

Island Spice Grill NYC LLC

Roxanne is a catering chef and owns a Jamaican and Caribbean-inspired food truck in the Bronx. She sells a wide variety of dishes targeted towards the NYC lunch rush and private/public events for catering + sales opportunities. She recently dissolved her business partnership, lost one of her food trucks in the process, and is hoping to pivot the business structure and refresh branding and digital marketing strategies in order to gain a new customer base.
