With almost 20 years as a hairstylist working in the beauty industry, Sunshine now wants to change traditional beauty standards with a curated selection of clean and toxic-free natural hair products. Her shop provides a collective space where black-owned companies can expand their reach and consumers can feel confident in knowing every selection was created by someone who can identify with their needs.

Tiffany has significant experience in social work and understanding systems of oppression, which she blended with her knowledge of wealth, personal finances, and financial literacy to offer financial coaching primarily to marginalized communities with the goal of improving their relationships with wealth. Because she understands the systems at play, she is able to meet her clients where they are. She hopes to continue building partnerships and brand awareness for the business.

Maroon Strategist LLC

Nadia is the owner of a finance consulting business in NYC. They offer community-based programming on topics of financial literacy, raising capital, entity selection. She also offers small business finance consulting services– provides CFO services, due diligence, acquisitions, business formation, development and consulting. In addition to creating a financial education app under this company, Nadia would like to increase the community impact of her services and partner with more organizations and schools to provide services.

Her unique blend combines chaga and roasted and ground date seeds. Everything is organic and locally sourced, and at this time, she does the packaging and grinding herself.

After working in the community health space for many years, Sacred realized that most wellness programs ignored the diversity, equity, and inclusion context that surrounds this work. Sacred incorporates her experience working with marginalized communities to offer a holistic wellness curriculum for corporate and institutional events that centers mental health and inclusive community. Sacred’s programs help companies, government agencies, and higher education institutions to address systemic problems in ways that build trust and empower staff.

Relivin Marketing

Having grown up helping his own father run his landscaping business, Edgar decided to create his own business to help Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs build an online presence with design, print & digital marketing. He offers services in Spanish and English in an effort to reach underserved businesses in his community who need help with marketing, and works specifically with home-service based businesses (electricians, painters, construction).

Jevon's Miami-based business provides services for minority small business owners selling products online. They offer a suite of services including media and branding design, taxes & accounting, social media management, and brand partnerships management; they also provide courses on these topics. Having worked directly with the Amazon Black Business Accelerator, Jevon has supported dozens of businesses with the resources they need to thrive in the e-commerce marketplace. Jevon hopes to grow and expand the business.

Gwell LLC

Fawziyya's business crafts and delicious snacks for adults and children alike. After she received rave reviews on her healthy treats from co-workers and friends, she decided to turn her passion into a business. Fawziyya makes accessible, healthy snacks from natural ingredients to help people find the balance they are looking for in their snack diet. Her gluten free, soy free and dairy free small-batch treats are nutritious, functional, and free of refined sugars.

All Creative LLC (DBA Harlem Noir)

Aurora, who was born in Canada and educated as an architect, emigrated to the US just before the recession and was unable to find a job in architecture. After several years working at other types of jobs, she decided to pursue her love of photography instead. Dedicated to preserving the culture of her adopted home in Harlem, she has created photographic images of the streets of Harlem that she has turned into post cards and greeting cards.
