New Voices Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, is focused on providing flexible funding, learning and networking opportunities to these entrepreneurs via pitch competitions, mobile accelerators, coaching and mentoring, online masterclasses, and communications outreach via social media, newsletters and other channels.
Ascend.Her is a Wacif Capital Accelerator program designed to serve women of color entrepreneurs through a holistic, multi-week program.
The Enterprising Women of Color District, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) Business Center (Center) fosters and supports a small business ecosystem for women of color in the National Capital Region. The Center offers a plethora of business services including financial capital, business advisory services, and networking support. EWOC offers direct funding fit for the entrepreneur’s individual needs & goals, from microloans to emergency funding and financing options. They provide free, individualized consulting services to help NEW and existing business owners develop and grow their business.
Women's Loan Fund. The EWI women’s small business fund is available to women entrepreneurs through the Latino economic Development center and supported by the Tory Burch Foundation and Bank of America. It provides 0% interest and $0 fees up to $2,500 and subsidized interest rate for loans above $2,500.
Entrepreneur Support Services (ESS). Year-round personalized business assistance, workshops, and referrals available for over 400 EWI students, alumni, and community entrepreneurs. Targeted support, along with opportunities to access markets and capital, allows women to overcome barriers to personal and professional growth.
Grow My Business (GMB). A business acceleration-training program designed to equip women for growth in new and existing microenterprises. Training in business plan implementation, development and strategy paired with expert coaching and peer support. Classes of 10-15 meet twice monthly for six months each year.
Entrepreneur Training for Success (ETS). An intensive three month, 60-hour course for women ready to learn what it takes to become an entrepreneur and bring their business ideas to life. Classes of 10-15 women meet twice weekly for three months. Offered in Fall and Spring in three locations.
