Empire State Development: NYS Covid-19 Pandemic Small Buisness Recovery Grant Program

The New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program was created to provide flexible grant assistance to currently viable small businesses, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations in the State of New York who have experienced economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. provides grants for up to $50,000

EWDD Small Business Loan Program

The program is to provide financing to viable small businesses that private lenders cannot accommodate. Loan funds can be used for reasonable and eligible business operation costs, including, but not limited to, inventory, equipment, working capital and leaseholder improvements.

Annual revenue must not exceed $10 million and have no more than 500 employees; Must create one permanent full-time equivalent job for every $35,000 in financial assistance received from the City; Out of the total jobs created, 51% must be fulfilled or made available to low and moderate-income persons; Business must be located in the City of Los Angeles; Applicant must show evidence of not being able to obtain financing elsewhere.

FedEx® Small Business Grant Contest

Since 2012, the Small Business Grant Contest has awarded more than $1.5 million in cash and prizes to over 100 small businesses. The contest, which awards unique and innovative small businesses, has drawn more than 50,000 entrants—including nearly 18,000 in 2022. We love seeing our winners continue to grow.

There will be a total of ten (10) winners (each a “Winner” and collectively, the “Winners”): three (3) Grand Prize Winners will receive U.S. $50,000 in the form of a check and $4,000 in print and business services from FedEx Office*; seven (7) 1st Place Winners will receive a U.S. $20,000 Grant in the form of a check and $1,500 in print and business services from FedEx Office*. All FedEx Office prizes are in the form of a credit at a local store near each winners’ location. Additional $10,000 awards in the form of a check, $500 additional print credit, and the added distinction and business award honor will be awarded among the Winners in each of the following categories:

  • young entrepreneur owner
  • veteran-owned business
  • healthcare industry
  • minority-owned business
  • sustainability focused business
